11. Auto-Sign Out (Security Feature)

Security Protection

HonorHQ automatically signs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity to keep your account safe.

How It Works:

Inactivity Timer

If you don't move your mouse, type, scroll, or click for 30 minutes, you'll be signed out automatically.

Warning Banner

One minute before automatic sign-out, a yellow warning banner appears at the top of the screen.

Stay Signed In Button

Click the "Stay Signed In" button on the warning banner to reset the timer and continue working.

Activity Resets Timer

Any activity (mouse movement, clicking, typing, scrolling) automatically resets the 30-minute timer.

Why This Matters:

  • Protects your account if you forget to sign out
  • Keeps student data safe (FERPA compliance)
  • Prevents unauthorized access to the app
  • Important when using shared computers
